INDEPENDENCE POP FESTIVAL is the result of a group of people coming together who have supported, operated, and managed festivals of all types and sizes for years. We found that we’ve all been saying to ourselves, for the last ten years, that this can be better. We all agreed that a festival experience should be offering better hospitality while creating wonderful memories and lasting impressions. We felt uncomfortable with the emphasis on bigger is better.
     So, this small group of people who felt we can do better want to offer you the best hospitality and most memorable experience that we can possibly create. That said, we want it to be so good that we and the attendees of our festival will give it an OVATION in appreciation.
     The performers you will share the evenings with at the INDEPENDENCE POP FESTIVAL will represent one of two groups.  The main group will be folks that have made significant contributions to American Music and who are recognized by their peers (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, Blues Legends etc.)  The second group will be new talents that we feel are exceptionally outstanding.  Producers of this show have showcased such artists as 91 year old, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, one of the last of the living Delta bluesmen.  Other shows have featured Blues Hall of Fame inductees Johnny Dyer and Michael “Hawkeye” Edwards, English Blues Legend John Mayall, David and Linda Laflamme and the Music of It’s a Beautiful Day, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger, Laura Love, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, Leftover Salmon, Electric Light Orchestra, Steppenwolf, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, The Kingsmen, Otis Day, Jefferson Starship, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, and more over the years.
